Unexplored Khabru Waterfall Trek – Hidden Paradise

Khabru Waterfall is situated in Boh Valley. The valley offers immense view of greenery on one side and the majestic waterfall on the other side. This waterfall is regarded as the second highest waterfall in Himachal Pradesh.
This is an offbeat destination far away from the city chaos. There is a Lord Shiva Temple at the top of the trek. The waterfall is located next to the Shiva Temple. The short trek starts from Boh. The trek has stunning views and goes through a dense forest. You will have to cross a village to reach to the top. This waterfall is the finest waterfalls in Himachal Pradesh and is easy accessible. It’s suitable for kids as well.

How to Reach there?

This is located at approx. 30km from the Shahpur Town. You can use government transport or your own vehicle for commute. The buses have fixed departure and arrivals so do confirm the exact timings before visiting (or you can reach us at [email protected]). The trek starts from the Boh Village. It will take less than a hour to reach there, depending upon your speed and if you are a photography lover then you may take around 2 hours, clicking photographs to reach the top.

Dharamshala to Shahpur – 25km
Dalhousie to Shahpur – 95km

Things to carry?

You can carry essential items with you. Follow the below list for a reference. However carrying everything isn’t mandatory it just depends upon your requirements.

  • Water Bottle
  • Food
  • Rainproof Jacket
  • Hand Towel
  • Sanitizer
  • Masks
  • Dustbin (Use the ones that are installed nearby waterfall or carry own bags for collecting the disposed things)

The place is accessible all over the year and is a perfect retreat. You can enjoy this place with your friends, partners and family too. Bring the kids they will have fun swimming in the pool. The water is damn cold so bring in the towels if you wish to swim.

Note: However this doesn’t needs to be told but still for the welfare of the place please read this. Don’t litter the place even if you don’t plan to come back. This is among the few places which aren’t littered yet. If you believe locals litter the place kindly visit and you’ll find its damn clean till now.
