Sukoon🌸 Sky above, Earth below, Peace within ⛰🌲🤞🏻

Himachal is such a place which can make anyone its own. So Mesmerising. Manali is  always close to my heart. Solang Valley is a place in Manali itself. Solang Valley derives its name from combination of words Solang (Nearby village) and Nallah (water stream). It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass, and is known for its summer and winter sport conditions. The sports most commonly offered are parachuting, paragliding, skating and zorbing.

This dazzling valley is one of the most picturesque sights in Manali and is located at an average altitude of 2,560 meters above sea level. Snow melts during the summer months starting May and skiing is then replaced by zorbing (a giant ball with room for 2 people which is rolled down a 200-metre hill), paragliding, parachuting and horse riding. Going to the summit can be possible by ATVs, Ropeway or Climbing (Trekking).

Things to do in Solang Valley

  1. Paragliding
  2. Zorbing
  3. Camping
  4. Mountain biking
  5. Skiing
  6. Snowmobiling
  7. Solang Ropeway

Take a journey over the picturesque valley from the mountain top in a beautiful cabin and soak in the pristine views it has to offer. The cabin rides at a speed of 6 meters per second, and will take you to the very top of the valley. You can avail this service for INR 700 per person.

There is also a cafe after going up the mountain. You can sit there and enjoy the beautiful view, eat and drink. That place is very good for taking pictures. Quite a quiet place.I will advise whoever comes to Manali must go to Solang Valley.
To be continued……….
