Beas Kund Trek is a beautiful place with a great history. This is a short trek of about 15-17km and can be easily covered in three days. This trek is immensely beautiful and is suitable for all age groups. A beginner trekker can take on this trek very easily. There are campsites along the trail, you can stay there and enjoy the beauty of the picturesque locations.

The ideal time for this trek is during Summers preferably May-June and it is one of the best summer treks in the Himalayan Region of Himachal Pradesh. The trek is slightly difficult for beginners since the trails of this trek are too steep sometimes.

3. Bijli Mahadev

Bijli Mahadev is one of the beautiful hiking trail in Himachal Pradesh. It is situated at 8000ft altitude.The Shiva Temple is situated at the top alongwith a Trishul and Shiva Linga. The Shiva Linga is made of butter and it never melts. Bijli Mahadev is a favourite point of call for the hikers. Its a single day trek and hence beginners can also go on this beautiful and short trek. The hilltop offers stunning views making it a must visit.

4. Chamba Trek

The Chamba trek starts from Dalhousie. Its a beautiful trek with a scenic route with the views of majestic Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal Ranges. Be prepared to camp on the way as it takes 3 days to reach Chamba. You need to spend two nights under the sky. The deodar jungles , open blue skies and immense greenery makes this trek a must visit for all thrill-seekers.

5. Chandrakhani Pass Trek

The Trek to Chandrakhani Pass is a beautiful stretch covering the beautiful and stunning view of Deo Tibba and Pirpanjal ranges. The altitude of this trek ranges from 2050m to 3660m. It is one of a moderate altitude treks in Himachal Pradesh. The hiking trail varies from easy to intermediate level and is a perfect place for hiking with the family.

This place is blessed with a temple which sits at the top.

If you are a regular trekker then you can do Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek which is situated on the foothills of Deo Tibba Mountain. Being in a remote location this treks offers beautiful views of mountains and nature. It is an excellent place for professional hikers with a bunch of time in their hands since it can take 5-6 days and require camping on the way. This trek is not recommended for the beginners as requires physical strength and endurance.

The best time to go on this trek is in Summers. Hampta Pass is located in the Pir Panjal Mountain Range. It is surrounded by Glaciers and jagged mountains. You need to have a guide or a map in order to take on this trek.

Jakhu temple in Shimla is a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. There is a tall statue of Lord Hanuman at the temple standing at 108 feet height and is visible from the Shimla City. Jakhu temple is situated on the Jakhu hill which is the highest peak of Shimla with an height of 2455metres. The trek is very short and is easily accessible from The Ridge, Shimla. There are multiple ways to reach Jakhu Temple; one from the ridge and the other one from Sanjauli.

There are two paths to the top, one is slightly difficult while other is easy which makes Prashar Lake a destination for everybody, from absolute beginners to professional trekkers.. The one route is through Baggi Village and the other one is from Jwalapur Village. The trek via Baggi village is slightly difficult as compared to the Jwalapur route. The optimal time to go is in the winters as it is regarded as a perfect winter snow trek though you can visit this place all over the year. It’s a perfect destination with a short hike and tremendous beauty.

This Trek is not an ideal trek for beginners and noobies as the trails is very challenging and requires lot of strength and endurance. You will cross several mountain passes , snowy landscapes. This is a 10-day trek so you should be mentally and physically prepared for it.

16. Sar Pass Trek

This is another trek situated in the Kasol region. It offers beautiful views of the Himalayas.This is a mystical tour in the Himalayas. The immensely beautiful views will compensate any inconveniences.

17. Triund Trek

Triund is one of the most popular treks in India. If you are looking for a solo trek then Triund is the perfect destination. Triund offers wonderful views of Dhauladhar Ranges. You can enjoy camping with bonfire and music. There is a glacier above Triund: Ilaka. The trail to Ilaka from Triund is slightly difficult. So you can opt to take on the trek to Ilaka or you can go back to Base. Dharamshala city is seen from the Triund hilltop. Triund is simply amazing and you should at-least visit once.
